Richard Lahey James has been accredited as a counsellor and supervisor with the ACC since 1997 and has been a UKCP registered family psychotherapist since 2008. He has a busy independent practice and helps facilitate the ECCP counselling service. Richard regularly teaches on all our courses and is overseeing the Diploma in Integrative Counselling.

Nick Russell-Smith, a member of ACC, has been counselling regularly for 15 years. He is a qualified practitioner in Systemic Family Therapy and is completing an MA in Integrative Psychotherapy. He has been teaching and running certificate level courses for many years and is overseeing the Diploma in Integrative Counselling.

Michael Ruegg is an accredited counsellor and psychotherapist with both BACP and ACC. Having trained as an integrative counsellor and coach, he works as a counsellor at the ECCP counselling service. He is heading up the ECCP training department and has been running various counselling training courses and personal development seminars over the years. Michael is overseeing our Certificate and Advanced Certificate level courses.

Rachel Firth completed a Professional Diploma in Pastoral Counselling in 2000, accredited by Nottingham University. She worked in two Christian Counselling agencies for 8 years and has taught regularly on the ECCP counselling courses. Rachel has an accreditation with the BACP and is a UKRCP Registered Independent Psychotherapist, working now exclusively in private practice in South London.

Julia Acott is CareConfidential’s Counselling and Support Services Manager and founded and directs Alternatives, a busy Pregnancy Choices Centre in East London, since 1994. Julia is a UKCP registered Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and has a Diploma in Supervision and is completing an MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
