Overview 'Inside Track' is an unique hands-on opportunity for those who have completed a YWAM DTS and have a heart to support those at the edge of society in a practical way. As an 'Inside Track' trainee you are involved in all aspects of running the Earls Court Community Project (ECCP) while being supported by an experienced team member. You will also be meeting up regularly with a personal coach who will support you in your personal development and help you clarify and develop your specific calling. Optional Counselling Training Once accepted on our 'Inside Track', you may apply for our accredited Certificate in Integrative Counselling Skills & Theory.
Admission requirements Besides a satisfactory completion of both lecture and outreach phases of a YWAM Discipleship Training School (IDS 701 & 702) or Crossroads Discipleship Training School (IDS 703 & 704) you will need to be able to demonstrate a heart and commitment to work with the hurting communities in the world's inner cities. Although not compulsory it would be benficial that you have some experience of Christian service in church, mission, college group or similar setting and you will need a level of Christian commitment and maturity that will help to cope with the pressures of working in an inner city outreach project such as ECCP. Individual support The individual support of trainees is regarded vital and throughout your internship, ECCP will provide you with a work mentor and a personal coach to support you in addressing issues of concern in your work and your personal life. Work mentor: You will receive a work mentor which oversees the practical aspects and effectiveness of your work at Earls Court Community Project. Personal coach: In addition to your work mentor you will also receive a personal coach - concerned with your general well-being and personal development and growth. Community housing & transport 'As an 'Inside Track' trainee you will be offered self-catered accommodation in our Community House in Clapham Junction.
Being part of our community house means that you will contribute to community life by cooking, shopping, cleaning, praying etc. Programme structure During your week you will join ECCP Team and be involved in all aspects of running the Earls Court Community Project ECCP including Coffee Bar, Women's Friendship Club, Bible Study, Evangelism, visits to the prison, Discipleship Groups etc. An average 'Inside Track' week
Research project As part of the 'Inside Track' you will be researching an already existing Christian initiative or ministry of your choice. Your research project is an opportunity to clarify and develop your specific God given calling and prepare you for the time after the internship. The research project is divided into a written presentation and an oral presentation which you will give to the rest of your team members. Attendance and award To successfully complete your internship, you will need to have a minimum attendance of 90% at work and satisfactory complete your research project. On satisfactorily completion you will qualify for an internal YWAM award which certifies that you have successfully completed our 'Inside Track" internship with us.
As a trainee you may pay your rent in full on the first day of each month. The rent includes accommodation in a shared room but not food. The personal expenses below are the estimated costs for food, toiletries and travel expenses to commute to / from the Earls Court Community Project by bus.
